Four questions,asked every time
The standard is the only product ARUNERA ships. All four questions must hold at the same time; a single failure means the object is sent back. We do not grant exceptions, and we do not soften the bar to fill the shelves.

Can we name the hands?
Maker's name, workshop address, and actual hours worked — all three are required. Batches from middlemen or with unclear provenance are refused outright. If a workshop refuses to be named, we respect the choice and we don't partner.

Is the technique Cambodian?
The technique must originate in a Cambodian context — low-temperature wood firing for Khmer ceramics, the dye-before-weaving sequence of Hol ikat, the diagonal start of rattan weave. Foreign patterns with a Cambodian label do not count.

Will it survive being used?
Collectibles are out of scope. A cup must pass the first dishwasher cycle. A scarf must be washable. A basket must carry real weight. Objects intended for display only are sent back.

Is the ledger open?
Wages and the maker's share are agreed before production begins and printed on the record card. They remain queryable after sale. Any partner unwilling to disclose the share is terminated on the spot.
Last year, 68% of submitted batches did not pass all four questions. Rejection is not harshness; it is the proof that a standard exists.
