Prepare your Cambodia e-Arrival submission through the official government portal, using the passport and flight details for your actual journey. Have your first accommodation information ready, follow the current submission instructions and keep the resulting confirmation accessible without mobile data. Treat this as a separate preparation task from checking your visa eligibility.
Reviewed on 25 October 2026. This is a preparation guide, not a screen-by-screen reproduction of the application. Portal wording, available functions and instructions can change, so follow the live government form when completing it.
Start at the government portal
The official address is arrival.gov.kh. Open it directly rather than entering passport details into a page supplied by an unsolicited message. If you prefer an app, use the download links provided by the government portal and check the publisher before installing it.
Air Cambodia's published guidance says travellers can access the system within seven days before arrival. Use your arrival date when planning that window, particularly if an overnight flight leaves home on the previous day.
Set a reminder for the opening of the relevant window. Gathering the information earlier is sensible; submitting earlier than the system permits is a different matter. Follow what the live service accepts for your particular journey.
Know what the process does
Air Cambodia describes the digital arrival system as bringing immigration, health and customs information together, with electronic visa-on-arrival functionality. The instructions you see may therefore involve several parts of the entry process rather than a single short declaration.
Your responsibility is to complete the steps that apply to you and check that the result matches your circumstances. Do not infer visa eligibility from the fact that an arrival form opens successfully. Confirm your passport's entry requirements separately.
Our Cambodia visa guide explains how to identify the appropriate authority and document route. If the portal asks a question you cannot answer confidently, consult its support instructions or the relevant authority before submitting.
Prepare a small information folder
Keep your passport, flight reservation and first accommodation booking beside you while completing the form. Use the documents themselves to check spelling and numbers instead of entering details from memory.
For accommodation, prepare the property name, address and contact details supplied in your confirmed booking. If the hotel has several branches or similarly named properties, identify the right one. A map pin can help you check the location but may not contain the address information requested.
Keep the flight number and arrival date visible. On a connecting journey, distinguish the flight arriving in Cambodia from the earlier flight leaving your home country. Use the segment requested by the form, not whichever reservation number is easiest to find.
Review names and dates carefully
Copy the passport information exactly as requested by the official form. Compare each field with the document before proceeding. Be particularly careful with numbers that resemble letters and with month and day order.
If your name contains several parts, follow the portal's field instructions rather than assuming your usual booking format is suitable. When a document has been replaced, make sure you are using the passport you will carry, not a scan saved for an earlier trip.
Check every traveller's information separately. A family may share a hotel and flight, but passport details remain individual. If the portal offers a group or family function, read its current instructions and confirm which travellers have been included before considering the task complete.
Give accurate accommodation and journey information
Enter the first stay or address requested by the form from a confirmed arrangement. Do not invent a hotel simply to move through a mandatory field. If your accommodation is unusual, ask the portal's support service or relevant authority how it should be described.
Check your arrival airport against the airline reservation. A journey to Phnom Penh should use the airport actually shown on the ticket. If you are unsure about airport names or codes, resolve that with the airline before submitting.
Use current information if your flight or first accommodation changes. Look for the portal's instructions on corrections or updates. A saved confirmation for an abandoned flight should not be treated as automatically suitable for the replacement journey.
Read the declarations before agreeing
Allow enough time to understand each declaration. Health and customs questions should be answered according to your circumstances and what you are carrying. A travelling companion's answers are not a substitute for your own.
Check the relevant authority's guidance if a question concerns an item you intend to bring. This is especially useful for medication, food or other goods whose treatment may depend on their type and purpose. Keep supporting documents accessible when required.
Avoid guessing simply because the form is nearly finished. If a term is unclear, use the official help information. Making an accurate declaration is more useful than completing the process a few minutes faster.
Save the result for airport use
After submission, follow the government's instructions for retaining the confirmation or reference. Check that the information is readable and that you can identify which traveller it belongs to. Do not rely entirely on remembering the browser tab where it appeared.
Download what you need before leaving reliable internet access. Keep the confirmation with your flight and accommodation details in a folder you can open offline. Check that your phone has enough battery, and carry a charging cable in cabin baggage.
Follow any instructions about presenting the confirmation or carrying a paper copy. If you travel with someone who holds all the documents, make sure another traveller can access the essentials too. One lost or uncharged device should not leave the whole group without its records.
If you encounter a problem
First check the ordinary causes: an unstable connection, an unsupported file, an unfinished field or information entered in the wrong format. Read the displayed error before repeatedly pressing submit.
For a payment or submission uncertainty, retain the reference and check the official status or support channel. Do not assume the process failed merely because an email is delayed. Equally, do not treat a partially completed screen as confirmation of successful submission.
Ask your airline about boarding-document arrangements when departure is approaching, and use the immigration service for questions about the declaration itself. These organisations have different roles, so direct the question to the one that can answer it.
Put the arrival task into the wider plan
Once your entry paperwork is ready, confirm your first-night accommodation and the journey from the airport. Our Techo Airport transport guide helps you compare the complete transfer, including the last connection from a bus stop to the hotel.
Return to the Cambodia travel checklist for the remaining preparation. Keep the final review simple: correct passport, correct flight, correct arrival date, accurate declaration and accessible confirmation. Those details matter more on arrival than an elaborate document folder you cannot open.
